Nowaco implemented a solution built on the Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 product, which allows for its further development. Planned deployment did not interrupt the company’s commercial activity and the comprehensive solution supplied was fully adapted to suit the requirements of the customer.
The Nowaco group is one of the largest food companies in the Czech Republic. With a turnover of over 7 billion crowns, the company is number 75 according to the Czech Top 100 rankings according to revenue and one of the fifth largest Czech companies in the food industry. In the Czech Republic, NOWACO holds a leading role in distribution of frozen, refrigerated and fresh foods. Hundreds of thousands of people enjoy products from the Nowaco plants on a daily basis, without realising that their food has undergone tens of company processes in the company’s Microsoft Dynamics AX system beforehand. In the past, Nowaco used a Microsoft XAL business information system and in 2005, decided to replace the comprehensive business information system.
The new business information system in Nowaco was supposed to resolve the following requirements in terms of company processes:
At the end of 2005 and start of 2006, the NOWACO Group holding selected a new business information system for planning and management of company resources (ERP) in common for all groups in the NOWACO group in the Czech Republic, in Slovakia and in Hungary. After a demanding selection process, a solution from IT SYSTEMS a.s. based on Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 was chosen.

Microsoft Dynamics AX is a modern system adapted to suit new trends in business communication. It was created in order to meet various requirements on flexibility, performance, efficiency and security. It is characterised by low costs for acquisition of the system and ownership of the solution, as well as a quick return on investment. The system is fully designed for local and international companies, to which global is tailored and development guarantee from Microsoft is tailored. The field of transportation and consolidation is resolved by external software integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
