March 2010 - Sucessfull virtualization at „Krajské zařízení pro další vzdělávání pedagogických pracovníků a informačním centru (KVIC)“

In these educational facilities we finished the project of consolidation and virtualization of servers on Microsoft Mictosoft Hyper-V Server 2008 R2. The major objectives of the project included the creation of a dynamic server infrastructure with high accessibility of the server services and at the same time reducing the operational costs and simplification of IT management. The solution, based on cluster services of Microsoft Microsoft Hyper-V Server R2 included the transfer of existing obsolete physical servers in virtual infrastructure including the creation of environment for testing the compatibility and operation in Hyper-V. The main benefits for customer are represented by gaining the stable and strategic platform for high availability for server hosting together with the short-term implementation by Microsoft Gold Certified partner for the virtualization.
